Marilyn holds a Master of Arts in Human Services Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH6951) with over 40 years of experience in behavioral health and human services, Marilyn brings a wealth of experience supporting individuals through grief, trauma, life transitions, and mental health challenges. She strongly believes that healing has no timeline and that growth and meaningful change are possible at any age.

Bereavement, Grief, and Loss: Extensive experience helping individuals and families navigate grief, loss, and major life transitions.

Caregiver Stress and Burnout: Supports caregivers experiencing the emotional demands, stress, and burnout that can come with caring for others.

Trauma and PTSD: Provides trauma-informed support for individuals healing from traumatic experiences, including domestic violence.

Anxiety and Depression: Helps clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, and related emotional challenges.

Women's Issues: Has a special affinity for supporting women across the lifespan, including those balancing family, career, relationships, caregiving, and significant life changes.

General Mental Health and Well-Being: Supports clients seeking greater self-understanding, resilience, personal growth, and emotional well-being.

Marilyn uses a person-centered approach and believes that clients often have strengths and answers within themselves that therapy can help them access. She tailors treatment to each client's unique needs using approaches that include:
